Supporting Our Ironman in Cozumel

After battling two major setbacks in the past year, Duncan Ross is back on track as an IRONMAN competitor:

“I am very grateful to be back racing and for a wonderful experience at IRONMAN Cozumel. It’s been a long road back after having a plate in my shoulder for 6 months and being hit by a car 3 months ago.

Sunday was a hard day on a beautiful island. There have certainly been doubts in my mind as to whether I could get back to where I wanted to be. But thanks to the support of an amazing group of people I was able to put together a good race and answer that question.

I couldn’t be happier or more appreciative. This result was a big goal of mine and I was only able to accomplish it because of two amazing ladies: my mom and my girl, the one and only Katie MacDonald.

They do so much for me, it’s crazy. So this one is for them! 8:56:14 and 1st place amateur / 9th overall. Onward to Kona 2019.”

Duncan finished first in his age group and an incredible ninth place as mentioned, out of a total of 1493 competitors!

Without support from his family and coach Nigel Grey, such an accomplishment would have turned out very differently – if at all.

His next IRONMAN competition will be in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii in October of 2019.
